Real Estate Photography & Video in Costa Mesa, CA
NAV Productions brings its San Diego studio standard to Costa Mesa, shooting listing photography, cinematic video, drone, and agent branding across Orange County's arts and dining hub. We cover the full range here, from updated Eastside bungalows near 17th Street to the ranch-style streets of Mesa Verde and the modern rebuilds going up across the city. Buyers in this market shop on lifestyle as much as floor plan, so we pair clean interior work with the walkable scene, the South Coast Plaza proximity, and the easy 55 and 405 access that make Costa Mesa what it is. Everything ships on our 48-hour delivery standard, so agents can set a launch date and plan around it.

The Costa Mesa Market
Costa Mesa is a tight, central Orange County market where mid-century stock and new modern builds sit side by side, so the photography has to flatter both a 1960s ranch and a fresh contemporary on the same street. It is a lifestyle sell first: SoBeCa, the 17th Street corridor, The LAB and The CAMP, and minutes to South Coast Plaza and the beaches all factor into what a buyer is really purchasing, which makes neighborhood and twilight context as important as the rooms themselves. Lot sizes are generous for the price point compared to the coast, so drone earns its keep by showing yard space, the quiet interior streets, and how close a listing actually sits to the freeways, the arts district, and Newport Beach.
What makes a Costa Mesa listing shoot different?
Costa Mesa is a mesa, which is the part visiting agents miss. The city sits on high ground above the Santa Ana River, its western boundary, so the west side drops toward the riverbed instead of running flat to the water like the beach cities do. Costa Mesa incorporated in 1953 out of a semi-rural farming community, and the housing stock still shows it: post-war tracts and mid-century ranch homes on the same streets as the modern rebuilds going up between them. The north end, South Coast Metro, is a different market again, wrapped around South Coast Plaza, the Segerstrom Center for the Arts and South Coast Repertory, and leaning condo and townhome. Mesa Verde sits on the west side toward the river, and Eastside Costa Mesa runs down toward the Newport Beach line.

Costa Mesa FAQ
Questions from Costa Mesa agents
Do you travel from San Diego to shoot listings in Costa Mesa?
Yes. NAV Productions is a San Diego studio based in Little Italy, and Costa Mesa is a regular Orange County stop for us, a straight run up the 5 and 405. We schedule full shoot days here (photography, cinematic video, drone, twilight, and 3D tours) and hold the same 48-hour delivery standard we run in San Diego, so traveling up the coast does not slow your launch.
Can you fly a drone over listings in Costa Mesa?
In most of the city, yes, and we shoot drone with an FAA-licensed pilot. The one thing to plan around is John Wayne Airport just east of the 55: parts of Costa Mesa fall under its controlled airspace, so listings near South Coast Metro and the airport side may need LAANC authorization before we fly. We check the airspace for every address ahead of the shoot, so we know what is clear and what needs a quick approval before we are on site.
What changes between a South Coast Metro listing and one in Mesa Verde or on the Eastside?
South Coast Metro is the dense north end around South Coast Plaza and the Segerstrom Center for the Arts, mostly condos and townhomes, where interiors and the walk to retail and the theaters do the selling. Mesa Verde and Eastside Costa Mesa are single-family and low-slung, so yard, street trees, and lot size matter far more.
